JetBoil Review – A Hiker’s Best Friend

24 Jul Posted by admin in Reviews | Comments

The JetBoil is one of our favorite toys in the outdoors. There are a bunch of lakes in the White Clouds where the building of fires is not permitted and you need to boil water, or cook soup. What are you going to do?

On the lakes where you can have a fire, it can take too long to bring your water to a boil, plus packing in all the pots to use to cook with. At one point years ago, we emptied out the big Monster Energy drink cans with the screw tops and used those to boil water in. We thought that was a great idea. But then came along the JetBoil!

JetBoil Review

  • Volume: 32 ounces (1 liter)
  • Boil time: 2 minutes (1/2 liter)
  • Water boiled: 12 liters per 100-gram Jetpower canister
  • Dimensions: 4.1 by 7.1 inches
  • Weight: 14 ounces

The neoprene lining allows you to touch, carry, move your Jetboil in action without burning yourself. It has an outside heat indicator, when you see the color change you know your water has come to a boil.

Easily one of the most handy pieces of equipment you can have in your pack.

Cost: $70 – $90 (Amazon)
